What’s included in the booking price: Rental of a safari lodge for the duration of your booked and confirmed dates. Electricity and water is supplied to the lodge. Parking for one vehicle in the designated parking area (further parking can be arranged if required). Daily limited allowance of wood.

Day Visitors

Please read the information from the FAQ section of the website where the latest policy and pricing can be found.

Arrival and Departure

Kaya Lodge is available to guests from 2.30 pm onwards on the first day of a confirmed booking. Departure time on the last day is 10.30 am latest. Late departure times can be requested at the time of booking, which may incur an additional fee if selected. When a late departure has not been prearranged an additional late departure fee of £30 will be charged.

If you are not going to make the recommended arrival time, please keep us informed to accommodate your meet & greet.

Respectfully, we request all areas be left clear and tidy.

Bookings & Payments

Kaya Lodge only accepts bookings from persons over 21 years of age. We reserve the right, at all times, without statement of reasons, to refuse or cancel a booking without refund.

After a completed online booking has been made, an automated summary email will be sent to the email address provided. Please check this immediately for any errors and omissions. If any changes are required please notify us as soon as possible. Alternatively if you do not receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of booking, please contact us on hello@kayalodge.co.uk.

A deposit of 10% is required at the time of booking. Bookings must be paid in full 6 weeks prior to the start date of your stay. If the balance amount owing is not received by such date, Kaya Lodge reserves the right to annul the agreement and retain the deposit as cancellation compensation.

If your stay commences in less than 6 weeks, payment must be made in full at the time of booking.

Group Bookings

Kaya Lodge reserves the right to refuse group bookings. If you have any queries regarding group bookings please call Kaya Lodge on 07919 405594.

Security Deposits

This is a requirement to cover any costs to Kaya Lodge for damage or breakages . It may also be to recover any additional cleaning charges or late departure fees. Deposits of £100 per accommodation unit are required for the following booking types:

• Group bookings • Adults only groups

We aim to refund security deposits within 24 hours of guests’ departure. The refund is made via bank transfer.

Deductions from the security deposit

For damages or breakages: Guests are advised to check the accommodation unit for any damages or breakages found at the beginning of their stay and to inform Kaya Lodge immediately.

Any deductions made to a guest’s security deposit for damages or breakages will be supported by receipts showing the cost of repairs or replacement items, and also by photos where appropriate.

For extra cleaning: Guests are requested to leave the property in the same condition as on the day of arrival. All food items and personal belongings must be cleared. Kindly follow Kaya Lodges’ instructions about removal of rubbish in the relevant section and in the welcome pack. Should the unit be left in an unacceptable condition and require additional cleaning, this will be charged at £25 per hour.


The prices on the Kaya Lodge website are not binding and Kaya Lodge reserves the right to modify these prices. The price stated on your confirmation/invoice is binding. Special offers and/or discounts cannot be used after the confirmation/invoice has been issued.


Should you need to cancel your booking this can be done by either of the following methods:

  • telephone

If a cancellation request is made within 6 weeks of your arrival date we will endeavour to re let your lodge. Potentially this may not be successful and therefore regrettably no refund of any monies will be paid. If you cancel prior to this date we will happily reschedule your stay for another date, or refund any monies paid, less your deposit.

If your stay is terminated early, the entire booking amount is payable.

In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your holiday we will inform you as soon as possible and will offer you the choice of rebooking your holiday at a comparable pricing period or a full refund of all monies paid to us. No compensation is available.

We recommend that you have appropriate holiday insurance cover.

Booking Changes

If you wish to change your stay we may charge a fee of £25 and cannot guarantee transfers however we will endeavour to come to a mutually agreeable solution.


Smoking is not permitted at any time within the lodge. If it is evident that guests have been smoking in the lodge then there may be a charge applied to compensate for the additional cleaning and delay in being able to re-let the lodge. Anyone choosing to smoke outside the lodge, please do so responsibly.

Candles and Fire

The lodge is supplied with electricity and led battery operated candles. Any other candles are not permitted in the lodge at any time. All fires need to be kept to the specified areas and must be supervised at all times.

Guest Behaviour

Guests undertake to behave in a proper, appropriate and legal manner with due respect to Kaya Lodge, the Property and other guests and their property. If any guest behaves inappropriately or improperly (of which the Kaya Lodge will be the final judge on their Property), or illegally, Kaya Lodge reserves the right to ask the guest and their party (at their discretion) to leave the Property before the end of the holiday period. Any refund for so doing will be at the entire discretion of Kaya Lodge. In addition, Kaya Lodge reserves the right to sue the guests for any loss, damage or injury caused to Kaya Lodge, the Property or to other guests and/or their property.

Noise Policy

We ask that guests keep noise levels to a minimum after 10:00pm and before 7:30am, in consideration of others.


You will be staying at a farm with potentially dangerous farm equipment amongst other hazards. Also please be aware that some of the guest equipment, including fire pits, BBQs and wood burning stoves may be dangerous if misused. Kaya Lodge is not responsible for accidents (to the greatest extent permitted by law). Children must be supervised at all times. It is the parents/guardians responsibility to ensure that children do not place themselves in a situation whereby they can injure themselves by being vigilant of any potential incident. The use of any activity such as, but not limited to, climbing trees is the responsibility of the guest and is done so at own risk.


Kaya Lodge accept no liability for: i. theft, loss or damage, of whatever nature, during or as a result of a stay. ii. any defect or out of action equipment and loss or closure of supplies.

Guests are responsible for any losses and/or damage which occurs as a direct or an indirect consequence of their stay, irrespective of whether any losses and/or damages are caused by themselves or by third parties

Force Majeure

Kaya Lodge cannot be held liable if, through Force Majeure, the implementation of the agreement is entirely or partially, temporarily or permanently, prevented due to circumstances which are beyond the control of Kaya Lodge, including threat of war, blockades, fire, floods, staff strikes, and other disruptions or events.

Complaints Procedure

We take great care to ensure you will have an enjoyable stay at Kaya Lodge. If however you have a complaint during your stay, please contact us as soon as possible. If a genuine complaint is not settled to your satisfaction, then you can write to Kaya Lodge within 14 days of your departure date. No claims will be considered after this time or if not made in writing or email to kayalodgeuk@gmail.com
